National Required Competitions
Below you will find a brief description of our required competitions for our National Event along with required attire for each event.
(Little through ElegantMs. Age Divisions)
Contestants will have 30 seconds to tell the judges about themselves in an on-stage introduction. This introduction should tell the audience and judges something about yourself, your hobbies, things that are important to you, and things that may not be covered in the personal interview. Attire for this competition will be a Cocktail dress in the color of your choice and Black, Nude or light colored shoes.
(Petite through ElegantMs. Age Divisions)
This will be done in a round robin style which means each contestant will get three minutes with each judge to sit and talk individually. Attire for this competition will be Business attire and Nude, or light colored shoes.
Outfit of Choice
(All Age Divisions)
Contestants will be able to show their personality through modeling. Props are allowed as long as they are a part of the outfit (An example would be pompoms with a cheerleading outfit) Props cannot be left or set down on stage at anytime. Splits, high kicks, jumps, tumbling, or modeling that would be considered glitz is not allowed. You must pick from one the categories below and the outfit should fit that category.
School Spirit Wear
(All Age Divisions)
Contestants in the Baby through Pee Wee age divisions may wear a baby doll, cupcake, or 3/4 to full length dress, while the contestants in the Little to Elegant Ms. age divisions are required to wear an ankle to floor length formal gown. You should choose a gown that will show your Genuine Elegance and poise.
(Baby through Pee Wee Age Divisions)
Contestants in the Baby through Pee Wee age divisions only may throw kisses, laugh, and clap while modeling their outfit of choice and Formal wear. We encourage the contestants in these age divisions to show off their personalities to the judges while on stage.
