Rules & Regulations

  • Female contestants must have been born female, portray themselves as female and stay female during their reign with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC as long as the contestant is a titleholder.

  • Male contestants must have been born male, portray them portray themselves as male and stay male during their reign with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC as long as the contestant is a titleholder.

  • Contestants must be between the ages of 1-30+ years of age.

  • Contestants must compete or be awarded an appointed title in the state/region which they reside, go to a school or where parents own property if contestant is a minor.

  • Contestants that hold a National Queen title will not be required to compete at the state level to qualify for our National Competition if the contestant has aged up into the next age division, however those holding a Princess or Duchess National title will be required to compete at the state level to qualify for our National competition.

  • Contestants and or family members who show disrespect to their chaperone, family, friends, staff (either pageant or host facility), or anyone else at or during a pageant will receive a 5 point deduction for each incident at the pageant. All incidents should be reported to the director and the director will investigate the situation, if the incident is founded deductions will be applied.

  • If a titleholder displays any type of unsportsmanlike conduct at or during any State/Regional or National event, appearances, community service events or Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC sponsored events a point deduction will be taken off of Genuine Elegance Royal Queen/King points. Genuine Elegance Royal Queen/King point deduction will be 15 points per incident that is founded against the titleholder.

  • If an incident is reported following a crowning the director will investigate the situation. If the incident is founded, the deductions will be applied at the next level of competition or a titleholder may be asked to resign her/his title.

  • Contestants must have never performed any act or engaged in any activity or employment that is or could reasonably be characterized as dishonest, immoral, or indecent.

  • Contestants must be of good moral character and has not been involved at any time in any act of moral turpitude.

  • Under no circumstances should a contestant have posed or have been photographed or video nude or semi-nude or appeared in a publication, film or internet nude to semi-nude, nor shall a current title holder be photographed or video nude or semi-nude or appeared in a publication, film or internet nude to semi-nude

  • A contestant may not have criminal charges presently pending against him/her. If a contestant has been found guilty of a prior criminal offense and has completed his/her sentence/probation and is free of the charges he/she may compete with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC, however must inform the executive director of the situation resulting in the charges.

  • Contestants ages 0-19 must have never been married, never have been pregnant and is not now pregnant, the adoptive parent of any child, nor become pregnant during Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC reign.

  • If a 0-19 title holder becomes pregnant during her reign the title holder must resign her title upon learning that she has become pregnant. Once the contestant reaches the age of 20 she will be able to come back and compete in the next age division.

  • Contestants must have permission from both of her custodial parents or legal guardians if there is shared custody as necessary. Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC are NOT responsible for any custody issues or circumstances for contestants.

  • Contestants ages 20-29+ may be single, married, widowed or divorced. If a contestant in any of these age divisions is pregnant during competition she must sign a release of liability to release Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC and its staff from any all liability.

  • Contestants must be in good health and can participate fully in any program activities.

  • Minor contestants must not consume and/or abuse alcohol. All Contestants must not consume, use, or abuse any form illegal controlled dangerous substances.

  • Of age contestants may not consume alcohol while representing Genuine Elegance Pageants and may consume alcohol while wearing your Genuine Elegance Sash and Crown.

  • Contestants who are directors and/or staff members for another pageant system must sign a waiver of good intention and ethics before competing with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC. Contestants that do not inform Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC executive director and do not sign a waiver of good intention will be disqualified and will not be eligible receive a refund.

  • Contestants who compete with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC are allowed to hold a National, State, or lower level title with another pageant system however, will be expected to uphold their commitments to Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC along with the other systems commitments.

  • All Entry Forms at every level serve as a legal binding contract for a contestant. Upon submitting your Entry form, a contestant (or parent of a minor contestant) agrees to the financial obligations of competing at all levels, should the contestant win, until she/he doesn't win or has completed all levels of our pageants as a winner.

  • Contestants are required to pay any and all fees associated with pageant competition as advertised. All Fees include one chaparone ticket at all levels of competition. There will be a fee for guest tickets at the National level for more then one guest.

  • Contestants are responsible for their own meals at the state/regional levels of competition. Contestants are also responsible travel and hotel accommodations at the state/regional levels. National fees will include meals and accommodations unless otherwise stated.

  • Contestants must consider if she/he can afford to compete before making the commitment to compete. Each contestant is responsible for all funds needed to compete at all levels of competition. If you feel like you do not have the money, you may raise the funds through fundraisers to compete any level of competition. You are not required to compete at the next level of competition, however are encourage to.

  • If a contestant raises money with the intent to compete at a Genuine Elegance pageant and does not compete, all funds raised under that impression must be turned in to the executive director or Genuine Elegance Pageant office. It is ILLEGAL to raise money under false pretense. Be careful to not raise way more money than is needed, Do not be greedy, be fair and honest when raising your funds.

  • Contestants are responsible for providing their own interpreters if you do not speak English. Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC is an English speaking organization and will be the language used. Contestants that do not speak English will be responsible for any and all fees associated with their interpreter's cost. (Example... room and board, travel, etc). The fees associated with the interpreter shall be discussed and remain between the interpreter and contestant and agreed upon between those two parties. Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC will not take part in any conversations regarding price or interpreter. Contestants must notify Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC executive director when any type of an interpreter will be used.

  • Contestants who are disabled or have special needs are responsible for making all arrangements to meet their needs. Please keep in mind that not all stages will have a wheelchair ramp. Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC does not provide a hearing impaired interpreter or an assistant for contestants who are seeing impaired so please plan accordingly.

  • A contestant will give consent and permission for Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC to televise, record or video the pageant and use for media and promotional purpose any portion or all of the competition.

  • Contestants that are chosen for a Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC title will be required to participate in 5 community service projects though out the 2019-2021 pageant season and 10 appearances.

  • If a contestant is unable to attend a competition that she has entered and fees have been paid there will be no refund issued.

  • When a contestant has submitted an entry form, a commitment to others such as venues, prizes, and staff is made on behalf of that contestant by the Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC office. If a contestant is unable to fulfill the commitment made the contestant/parent or guardian is responsible to pay the fees in full. No Exceptions!!

  • Any contestant that is found to have falsified any and/or all information, whether written or stated by a contestant or parent representing the contestant, is grounds for disqualifications for any title. The executive director and/or judges will come together to discuss the situation and make a decision based on the situation and/or evidence presented to them. If a contestant has been crowned and is found to have falsified any and/or all information, whether written or stated by a contestant or parent representing the contestant, the crowned contestant must resign his/her reign and will no longer be allowed to compete with Genuine Elegance Pageants, LLC.

  • ALL REIGNING ROYALTY REGULATIONS, CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY, AND INFORMATION ASSOCIATED WITH OUR SYSTEM MAY BE CHANGED AT ANY TIME AT THE DIRECTOR'S DISCRETION. UPON COMPLETING AN APPLICATION, IT BECOMES A WRITTEN AND LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT A CONTESTANT OR PARENT REPRESENTING A MINOR CONTESTANT AGREES TO AND WILL ABIDE BY ALL ELIGIBILITY & REGULATIONS, CURRENT AND FORTHCOMING.
